Dear Parents, Students, and Families,

I am extremely excited for this upcoming school year with your children. If you ever come across any questions or concerns at any point this academic year, do not hesitate to contact me via email at gdiverita@olmacademy.org. As a mother myself, I understand the major transition from elementary to middle school, but through the partnership between you and I, we will work together to reach your child's fullest potential.  I ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

  •  Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
  •  Has all the necessary materials, such as pencils, books, notebooks
  •  Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
  •  Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
  •  Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
  •  Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

Please remember, if a student is absent and/or leaves early or is on vacation, the student is responsible to get caught up on notes, assignments, quizzes, and tests. Make those arrangements with the teachers. Utilize the school website to see what they missed. E-mail me and I will reply back within 24 hrs weekdays, might  take longer on the weekends. You can also leave a message for me  via the office at (201) 391-3838, if you have any questions.

My extra help days are  Thursdays and Fridays, 2:30-3 P.M.

Sincerely,

Ms. DiVerita
