Our Lady of Mercy Academy provides its students with a broad spectrum of extracurricular and in-school activities to enhance their learning experience. Whether your child is interested in sports, drama, scouts, science or cooking they are bound to find something of interest.
Students participate in sports through the Our Lady of Mercy Parish Athletic Association. The Athletic Program features basketball and volleyball in the Fall and Track and Field in the Spring. To participate, students must be registered 1st - 8th graders enrolled in OLM Academy or active participants in the OLM/OLGC Religious Education Program.
The OLM basketball program offers competitive league play for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. The season runs from November through March. The basketball program is open to students in grades 1 and 2 at an instructional level. A Summer basketball program is available during the month of July for students in grades 3 through 8.
Track and field begins in March, and all students in grades 1 through 8 are eligible to participate. Races and field events are competed by grade level and gender. Practices are held twice a week at the Park Ridge High School field. There are three competitive track meets held at area Catholic High Schools throughout April and May.
OLM offers a Volleyball program for girls in grades 5 through 8. The season runs from September - November.
When available, sports registration will be available through the OLM Parish website at www.urolm.org.
