Enrichment and Clubs

Enrichment classes are available in the Fall and again in the Spring. These are one hour weekly classes after school for an additional fee. Classes vary from year to year but include topics such as Robotics, Cooking, Sewing, Reading Comprehension, Creative Writing, CSI Science and Arts & Crafts.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy offers students in grades 5 through 8 an opportunity to showcase their talent in the Drama Club. Auditions are held in the Fall, and students rehearse weekly in preparation for the Spring performances.

Students in grades 5 through 8 are invited to participate in the clubs of their choosing. All clubs meet twice a month. The classes may vary from year to year. Some include Cooking, Science, Choir, Physical Fitness, Chess, Fashonistas, and Computer Classes. The Middle School students are eligible to become active members of the student council. Seventh and eighth grade students have the opportunity to be editors for the School Literary Magazine, and eighth graders are invited to join the yearbook committee.

In addition to electives there are several functions during the school year that engage the entire student body. Each Fall the students prepare projects for the Science Expo, and in the Spring their talents are exhibited at the Art Show. The Christmas Concert is a magical experience performed by all the students in grades 3 through 8, and our students in grades K-2 perform their own special Nativity presentation. The Spring Concert is a collaborative performance by all students in grades 4 through 8. Our K-3 students participate in a daytime Spring Concert.
