DIALOGUE

Dialogue is read with lots of expression to show how the characters are feeling.  You will also change your voice slightly to show that different characters are speaking.  Remember that dialogue is the actual words someone is saying and they are always in “quotation marks.”

Reread the passage and remember to read the “dialogue” with feeling and with different voices for each character.

EXAMPLE: Susan cheered “Hooray!”

Find a sentence in one of this week’s stories that contains dialogue and write it here.  Be sure to use thequotation marksand punctuation marks too!
